Congregational Prayers

Turners Road and Locksley Community Masjid are open every day of the year for people to use our prayer facilities, including all five daily prayers, and the special prayers for Ramadan and Eid…

The prayer halls are accessible 15mins Prior to Jamat Time, and close about 15 mins after the Jamat. We hold congregational prayers at specific times, which you can find in our prayer timetable. There’s a more detailed explanation of our prayer times here. These prayers typically take 10–15 minutes. On Fridays, the special Jummah prayer (which replaces the Zuhr prayer) is preceded by a speech given in Bengali and English which is an explanation of the Khutbah (sermon) given on that day.

Women’s Facilities

Every Wednesday between 10 am to 12 pm we have women only Arabic and Tajweed classes for sisters. You can just turn up on the day and register your interest.

As the Masjid only has one hall, we can not specifically facilitate a separate area for women. However, we have a partition and can accommodate for them as and when needed.

Advice & Counselling

Muslims turn to the Mosque for help and advice in many matters affecting their day-to-day life. Our Imams can advise on a wide range of matters, such as marriage,

bereavement, family problems, and Islamic guidance. Education

We currently have Maktab from Monday to Thursday for two hours each evening children learn about Islam, Quran, Qaida, Salah and much much more. About 45 pupils…

are taught a wide range of Islamic subjects. For more information, call our masjid staff on 07946893694. Weekend GSCS/A-Level Tuition We hold weekend tuition classes for GCSE and A-levels. The tuition sessions have stopped over the pandemic and we will update when they will resume.

Community Events

We hold regular community events including luncheon sessions and evening dinner sessions. We also organize trips during the school holidays to build community cohesion.

Live Streaming

We are currently working on live streaming our Friday prayers, daily activities and additional talks that take place in our Masjid and will update once it is ready.
